Job Description:
An experienced HP SiS engineer is required to perform an integration between HP SiS and BMC Remedy to extract enterprise wide SiS monitor data and update it nightly into Remedy.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Equivalent.
2. 3 – 5 years of HP SiS experience including 1 – 3 years working with SiS internals.
3. SiS experience in the below described Project Details.
Project Details:
Nightly updates will capture SiS monitor data to update the Remedy table so that all enterprise SiS monitors are represented in the Remedy table. Events generated by the SiS monitors will be matched to the nightly updated records in the Remedy table identifying which Support Groups should receive Remedy tickets generated by the events. Additionally, automatic paging will also use the SiS/Remedy data to page the correct Support groups.
Overview: Looking to get three pieces of information from SiS.
1. What policies SiS has (name, description, internal SiS ID)
2. What CIs SiS has (name and internal SiS ID)
3. Where the policies are deployed to a CI (many to many table with SiS ID for CI and policy)
4. This information should be refreshed nightly. Prefer to only get deltas but if not possible, all records are fine.
We have many options for getting the data into Remedy including the following
1. SiS to publish flat file(s) (delimited)
2. Remedy to host web service
3. Remedy to host table to be populated by SiS
We need to know:
2. Approximately how long
3. How complex the solution will be
4. What assumptions they have about being able to build the solution
